Oh my, where has the time gone?! I cannot believe my little business has turned 6 this week!
I started out Messy Bub's in the beautiful Darwin, NT in 2017! I had moved over to Australia from the UK with hubby and 3 little boys.
There were wonderful playgroups in Darwin but all had little unstructured movement and sensory messy play was not to be found!
My boys love to explore and discover and of course get messy! Due to this the creation was born and I've never looked back!
I also wanted a working role that fitted in around my lifestyle and I was dying to have another baby!
Relocating to Tweed Heads in NSW at the end of 2021 really gave me time to look back and see what has been achieved.
Messy Bubs has grown from 1 location in Darwin to now 8 locations across Australia. A perfect business model for mums to build their own business with full on going support and a National brand, to fit in around their lifestyle.
My vision was to create not only a safe, non pressure and welcoming space for families to attend, connect and be able to enjoy and learn the benefits of messy play without worrying about all the clean up but also a business model that those mums could relate with and offer them the opportunity to have a wonderful business to own, meet other wonderful families, support their own household and community.
This year we were recognised as an Award Winning business with 2 of our franchisees winning Best Sensory Experience for Kids and Best Franchise Children's Activity.
In 2022 we embarked upon a fantastic collaboration with Kids Alive supporting their ethos and spreading awareness about water saftey for under 5's through sensory play.
We also created a unique mark making program for over 2's to support families and Bub's with the beginnings of writing.
I am so looking forward to what 2024 has in store as we launch our brand new Discover Sensory program for babies under 12 months and we continue to go from strength to strength.
